In short: Tiro is a Parseur alternative from Germany: upload PDFs and scans, the AI proposes the fields, and the result comes back as an Excel, CSV or JSON table – with ISO dates and real numbers by default. The paid entry costs €25 instead of €49 per month, and hosting is in Germany. And honestly: email intake and Zapier are things Parseur has today – Tiro does not, yet.
Pricing compared (as of August 2026)
Both services bill in page credits: 1 processed page = 1 credit, and unused credits expire at the end of the period. The monthly prices as both vendors state them today:

Yearly billing makes both cheaper – Parseur and Tiro alike land at €39/69/99/199 per tier, Tiro's Nano at €19. From 100 pages up, the price is simply the same. The difference is the entry: at Parseur, the free plan is followed directly by the jump to €49 – and that 0-to-€49 jump is the most frequent complaint in Parseur reviews. Tiro puts a step in between with Nano (50 pages, €25).
Where Tiro wins
- The entry price. €25 instead of €49 when 20 pages stop being enough but 100 is more than you need – typical for a team dealing with a stream of 30 to 50 documents a month.
- Normalized values at no extra charge. Tiro returns ISO dates and real numbers by default, in every plan. In our test (July 2026), Parseur returned dates as text in the source format; according to its pricing page, "advanced post-processing" is only included from the Scale tier upwards – the tier above 3,000 pages.
- Hosted in Germany. The app runs on German servers, AI processing stays in the EU (AWS Bedrock, Frankfurt), with no training on your data. DPA as a PDF download – the paperwork your privacy review actually wants to see is on the security page.
- Native-language product. Tiro is written in German and English rather than machine-translated – from the interface to the legal documents.
Where Parseur does more today – honestly
Parseur has been on the market for years and is broader today. Concretely:
- Email intake: mailboxes that senders can deliver to directly. Tiro accepts documents via upload or REST API today; email intake is on the roadmap.
- Integrations: Zapier, Make, Power Automate, Google Sheets and webhooks ship with every Parseur plan. Tiro offers the REST API today; webhooks and automation platforms are planned.
- Template engine: Parseur can additionally parse documents with deterministic templates. Tiro works purely with AI extraction against your field definitions.
- Multi-user accounts and unlimited retention in the bigger plans. Tiro deliberately caps retention at one year (configurable per inbox, down to "delete right after export") – a privacy decision, not an oversight.
If your workflow depends on email intake or Zapier today, Parseur is (still) the better choice for you. This page stays honest even where that hurts.
Who should switch now
Tiro fits if you process PDFs, scans or photos via upload or API and use the result as an Excel or CSV table – invoices, delivery notes, bank statements, test reports and other document types. Especially when hosting in Germany and a proper DPA are requirements, your volume sits between 20 and 3,000 pages a month, or the jump from €0 straight to €49 is exactly what held you back at Parseur.
